Yep, I've recently noticed this static URL problem, too, but I use Firefox so that would suggest it's possibly something weird that Trakt is doing/not doing rather than our different browsers(?).

In some ways, might it not be simpler to have season ratings be an automatic average of all episode ratings from that season?
Similarly, one could extrapolate up to the show's rating be the average of the season averages.

"I invest my time for free to keep Trakt database up-to-date, and I also to pay for it, if I want to see it updated..."
This is such an entitled mindset, though.
Should the Trakt team all be working for free and bear all the associated costs?
If you love Trakt so much, why won't you support it with your own money? It's a pretty cheap per-month cost. If you can't afford it, fair enough but then you can still use almost all of the site's features regardless - entirely for free.
As for data refreshes, the system generally automatically does them and when it doesn't, you can always post a request here. As a VIP member, I've refreshed stuff for people to help out.

This kind of specifics is actually supported by The Movie Database but not The TV Database, and it's obviously the latter that Trakt imports the show status from. Hopefully it is possible to change the source for this info to TMDb.

Once TVDB sends episode runtimes in their API, we’ll update Trakt to use them.

@Justin - Are you intending/hoping to make TVDB the primary source for runtimes once that happens? Also, where does Trakt currently get runtimes from?

@anonymous - it's not working for everyone, though. It works with touchpad but if you have a PC (like a lot of people), you can't scroll these cast lists.

The bug seems to be mouse related/scrollbar. If I browse Trakt on my MacBook where I only use the touchpad to navigate, I can scroll the cast lists without a problem, however when I use my Windows PC with a mouse there is no scrollbar to allow me to view the cast beyond the initial 10 that are visible when the page loads.

A good idea, but not something we are currently setup to do.

"tvdb need to fix so we can fix it" - the major problem with this justification/answer is that TVDB is terrible/very slow at correcting things. It doesn't feel like many people man the site.
At least on TMDb the mods/admins are usually pretty quick to delete/correct things you flag, plus it's also easier to correct things as a regular user.

It's approaching two years since sp1ti posted this suggestion - is there an update on this and even a possible ETA on a rollout?
I certainly don't want trakt.tv to become like a social media behemoth of information like a Facebook timeline, but there's definitely a happy medium. Currently, it's kind of pointless to be friends with anyone on here because it's incredibly difficult to interact with anyone other than purely by chance.
My opinion: I think it would make sense to alter "Friends Activity" to be a texted-based mini timeline, with perhaps smaller images (or even none at all) to condense how much individual activity takes up, but with the ability to Like or Comment on such activity (e.g. "Hey, I just watched this too! What did you think?" etc). As sp1ti pointed out, a single user having a TV binge can wipe out the "Friends Activity" grid quite easily, or certainly the bulk of it.
As an additional feature, I think a "Recommend to a Friend" button on programme/film pages (perhaps even on individual episodes, if that was feasible) would be cool, and this would post to this timeline and tag the friend/user.

This would be so useful! Apart from anything else, it seems incredibly logical for a "reset progress" button to be accessible on a show's page.

It seems to be behaving itself again, thankfully!
