   Some of my friends, have their 'bosses' as friends, and I guess when they call in sick, they prefer the boss not seeing the were watching The Walking Dead instead... of that they were up till 3am in the morning watching TV before a big meeting.

   (probably the same way you appear 'invisible' on Xbox Live, so people don't know you stayed home to play games)

   At least hiding from the website is a beginning. Most of the people use the Website to track friends activity, leaving the API for more advanced stuff.
