Mark show as abandoned (or dropped) when you intentionally stop watching.
Mark show as abandoned (or dropped) when you intentionally stop watching.

Currently, you can hide a show from you calendar or progress page. Hiding from watched progress also hides it from your dashboard on deck. Hiding in those 2 places should work for most users.
This topic proposes a “dropped” status for a show. This would hide from the 3 sections mentioned above + add a “dropped” indicator in places such as the show summary page.

@David: there is actually a small button next to each show to hide them from progress ;)... ex http://trakterapp.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/8-1-2016-14-13-31.png

This would be excellent - I might stop watching a series after, say, the 3rd season of 7 but to remove it from progress, I need to mark the whole series unwatched. An example would be True Blood where I gave up after season 5 or Elementary mid way through season 4.

I still want this too, would make Trakt perfect... many shows I only see the pilot.

I still want this. I wanna see every series I saw in my "see more" section. The ones I still watch and also the ones I dropped. If I hide the dropped ones, I don't see them, but I want to be reminded that I watch a series at one time but then dropped it.
PLEASE

I would like to see "dropped series/movies" just because you could see your progress how many series/movies you have dropped in this year..

This would be an excellent feature.

Hi, I already hide a show, but the show keeps showing up on my calendar. How do I fix that?

Shows keep showing up in progress that I have never added to collections. How do I delete?

You can unhide here:
https://trakt.tv/settings/hiddenWe give apps access to your list of hidden shows and seasons, but it depends if the app chooses to use that info. If they aren't, I would send in a feature request to the app developer since the Trakt API provides the data needed to hide your shows correctly.

how do you unhide the show that you've hidden? I can't seem to find any option to unhide it anywhere.

Does it remove from 3rd party apps when you ciick hide? I still see all this shows I clicked hide on in the 3rd party app.

Show that I watch and what to hide are showing up on the history page, but not the calendar and progress page where the hide buttons are.

There needs to be an option to hide a show from the shows page because it is tooooooo difficult to search for a show on the progress page. I dont have the patience to search through everything on that page to find something just to hide it. The calendar page is also toooooo difficult to have to search through also. Its very frustrating to find shows to hide them.

I agree with the need for this feature, but on the flip side, shows that I'm watching but have been on for a long time (e.g. The Daily Show) don't always show up in my progress page because I've watched a relatively small percentage of the show (I imagine this is why). Having the ability to mark which shows I'm currently watching would solve both problems.

I after looking for a long time, I finally see the pale circle after the show name on the progress page. I was looking for it to be under the picture like it was on the dashboard, or for it to be easier to see.

I am finding it very difficult to hide shows.
There is only an "Ø icon" on the 6 shows at the top of the dashboard. When I click to try to see more shows the page is reformatted and the Ø icon is not there any more.
On the calendar page it is useless because the page is arranged by the date the show airs and its too hard to navigate to what I want to hide.
I don't see the "Ø icon" in other helpful places

This would be the most useful feature for me. If this were a VIP feature, and VIP were available as a one-off 'lifetime' purchase, I'd go for it

Please add the VIP category here...

What I'm looking for is an app that that can help me organize my screening process.
As I look for shows or movies to watch, I go through the following processes:
1. look at reviews and basic plot summaries
2. watch the first few minutes or maybe the first episodeIf I decide not to go forward, I'd like to be able to see a list of movies / shows that I haven't screened out.
This general feature would support the top-requested feature: https://support.trakt.tv/forums/188762-general/suggestions/4936616-mark-show-as-abandoned-or-dropped-when-you-inten
There's also been a couple other similar requests:
