Mark show as abandoned (or dropped) when you intentionally stop watching.
Mark show as abandoned (or dropped) when you intentionally stop watching.

Currently, you can hide a show from you calendar or progress page. Hiding from watched progress also hides it from your dashboard on deck. Hiding in those 2 places should work for most users.
This topic proposes a “dropped” status for a show. This would hide from the 3 sections mentioned above + add a “dropped” indicator in places such as the show summary page.

And clear from unfinished? History? Progress? Calendar?

Please, do it

This would be even better if you could add how much did you watch from a movie/episode if you dropped it halfway. It would be nice to see what you already tried to watch once but got bored of it after 10 mins or so.

Hiding works for dropping a show. But I want to be able to drop a season. There are some shows that have been running forever where I have no intention of going back and watching them all. So I want the show in my queue when there are new episodes or episodes remaining from non "dropped" seasons, I just don't want it constantly in the top of my list with something I will never watch.
Some of the time I want the show or a season of a show to go away until it becomes available in one of my streaming services. That would be great as well.

It would be convenient to have a section or a category for the TV series stopped watching, and therefore there are no episodes to see.

I echo this: How about the ability to delete shows (tv or movies) you intentionally stop watching?

Hiding a show doesn't really do what we want it to. We just want to stop tracking the show, and having it show up in our Calendar and Up Next section. I can remove a show from my Watchlist, but if I've watched any of it, Trakt still acts like I want to keep watching it.
If you remove something from your Watchlist, it should just stop showing it to you. (Also, it needs to be easier to remove a show from your Watchlist. You can't do it from any episode or season pages.)

I have a movie box that I have my tv shows listed through Trakt which is either listed in collection or favorite which is great until I want to delete them from my TV. Why is it so difficult to have an icon that when you click on it it will save to your favorites, then if you click on it again it removes from favorites. I can't believe it can be that hard to do. I never watch shows on the computer or iphone only on the TV.

shows show up in my "watch next" section that I no longer watch. Which is a pain in the backside as I have to constantly trying to get rid of them

Agree totally. Shows I don't like or lost interest in I would like to delet

@tahir khan: Use the "hide" button for the dropped show on your progress page.

Would welcome this option. I've dropped shows yet they still show up in my "watch next" section. Which is a pain in the backside as you have to constantly keep on marking it as watched ☹️

I would also like to see this function

I would like this because I quite often only watch one episode to see if I'm interested. If I'm not I don't want to see it keep showing up on my Progress site

As @BevansDesign said, movies will need this too as much as shows

Yes, need this. I do want to see them in my progress list, but not on my next to watch. So that people can see in my progress I did see some of it.

It would probably also be worthwhile to expand this feature to movies. Even though they're much shorter, I've still abandoned a few movies halfway through because they didn't interest me, and I'd like to be able to mark them as such.

I would love something like that!
