Recommendations: hide an entire genre

I'm very pleased with your site and your integration with XBMC and so on. kudos!

But since you won't seem to add the functionality to dismiss all genres your users are not interested in your recommendation on new shows.

For the love off God, Pretty pleeeeeeeease, run an sql query or do something on my recommendations >> TV shows where you dismiss ALL theese Genres so i can finally use that function on all genres combined:

Talk shows,
Animation,
Children,
Reality,
Home and Garden,
Mini Series,
News,
Sport,

From the year 1914 -> 2066.

I've done this one by one but it never ends. (Im aware they'll still appear on newer shows but at least i wont have too dismiss every singel show from 1914 to this given day.)

Hint, if you could just let people check what they may or may not be interested in under something like "Settings" - "Recommendation", much like your "Visible sections" under "Dashboard".

That would bee a pretty neat functionality for the public who doesnt care for animation, children and all the other crap genres i mentioned earlier. Don't you think?

I sincerely hope you would take this under consideration. Thank you for your good work, and valuable time.

    So almost 2020 maybe you have some news on that? I think the recommendations/suggestions are a nice feature of trakt but they get overtaken too much by anime. I don't ever watch anime and don't have any on my list or history and still from those 3 suggestions on the bottom of the pages I can bet at least 2 are anime and I'm tired of clicking the hide button just to get more of those.
    If we could please hide an entire genre from those suggestions/recommendations that would be very helpful. We would get more things we are ACTUALLY interested in and that in turn would make us stay longer on your site. Don't you want us too?

    Presently, when viewing recommendations, we can only choose (a) all genres or (b) individual genres. But for some, strange reason, I tend to get a ton of animated recommendations — even though I don't watch much animation.

    If only I could look at the list of genres and simply UNcheck animation (or any others I don't care to see at the moment).

    Please, please improve this. :-)

    If we could be given the option of choosing what genres we want to be recommended, that would be nice. I think it should have a 3 vote system for each genre, though, and Always Show options are weighted enough that they may crowd out the Meh Show option.

    (1- Always show)
    (2 - Meh Show - if not crowded out by recommendations in the Always Show)
    (3 - Never show)

    So if my choices look like this:
    1 - Action
    1 - Children
    2 -Reality
    3 - Sports

    Sometimes depending on my other filters, I will see items from Action, Children, and Reality, but other times, when the filters chosen are looser, I will only see items from Action and Children.

    Also adding hide series that has ended from recommendations would've been perfect...
    Heck, i'll even become VIP then..
