RE: Option to hide adult movies from search and site overall
I've already opened a ticket about this (closed now) but if we're gonna just do it manually then it's going to be quite the long list. So here's what I'm suggesting...
Since the issue here is TMDb's definiton of what constitutes an 'adult movie' (most of Tinto Brass' filmography is not marked as such, while most people would describe his movies as "porn but, like... with dialogue") a middle ground can be found in the tags of these movies (which makes them appear in the recommendation sections and search). So while, say, Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens is not marked as 'adult movie', it still has 'sex', 'explicit sex', 'erotic movie' in the tags.
The problem is that some of these tags are used by legit movies like Shame and 50 Shades (though there's an argument to be made there lol) and blocking the movies based on tags could mess with people's libraries. So i'm suggesting again an option in user settings for those of us who want to just omit them from search and suggestions and any other place they would appear, and if one clicks on one of their links a page would tell him that this is an NSFW movie.
I still think this feature should exist at least to be enabled by default for underage users.
I'm only posting this again because it's surprising how often one encounters these movies even when they don't seek them out, You'd be looking at a european movie (most of them contain nudity, occasional sex scene) you scroll down and here's 5 softcore porn suggestions.
An alternative suggestion is to make the recommendation engine ignore these tags in its process.
I'm not a prude or anything, it's just something one would rather avoid if possible, would you agree?

There are some obvious pornographic movies. I did a search for "Mandingo" and "Mandingo Fucks The Archangels" and "This Ain't Django Unchained" appeared with graphic images. It would be nice if that NSFW filter was implemented or if the movies were removed altogether. Not sure how they snuck in. They're not on TMDB as far as I can tell.

I saw a movie via the calendar

Looks like a straight up adult movie.Personally I don't care but a nsfw filter might be nice.

What are "Adult" movies by your definition Justin? Just by browsing around and looking at some titles I was not able to find any "porn" or "soft-porn" (just sex comedies and the likes).
As "Redouane M." mentioned TMDB does indeed not brand Tinto Brass as such as there is "more" to it than just giving the viewer straight up fap-material fresh from the factory. Explicit sex = removed? There is a reason why it's more present in European cinema and I find it a double standard when compared with violence which is bread and butter for every action film (just portrayed more harmless). /rantI also noticed that you block actors with the adult tag, the credits should be based on the movie's flag. People like "Sasha Grey", "Ron Jeremy" or "James Deen" have had legit movie roles but they fail to show up ;).

I agree adult movies should be hidden, but I'd like to always hide them and not have an option since we prefer not to have that content at all. I'll need to look into this more and see if the TMDB tags are reliable enough to do something automated or not.
