Most Watched boxes customizable
During my childhood I watched many animes such as Dragon Ball Z.
If I check-in the seasons the TV Show becomes my most watched TV Show by far.
Therefore this will never change since it has over 200 episodes and no new TV Shows today will have that much (I think)
I would like to be able to add this TV Show in my watched list but don't think having it as my most watched TV show is really relevant.
This applies for movies too.
Suggestions
Allow in settings profile section to choose if Most Watched boxes should refer to either 'current year' or 'all time'. If no movies or shows have been watched during this current year choose 'all time' by default
So the box's title should indeed go to "Most Watched in 2016"Another idea would be being able to replace those two boxes with featured lists or even some little widget showing what the user currently has on his deck
Could be a VIP feature

Since this is from 2016 and looks complicated regarding the customisation of the boxes
I suggested here : https://support.trakt.tv/forums/188762-general/suggestions/43727460-most-watched-boxes
to at least be able to change fromPlay count to Watch time
which I find more interesting

No progress on this? It's a really boring tile - to another 10 years of "The Simpsons"...

A further update on my thoughts on this, lol! This is probably my most-wanted feature. I realized a (hopefully) very simple way to do this would be to build on the already existing "Hide" feature. No need to add a check box to every show's/movie's page as I suggested in my earlier comments. Rather, in the same way you can choose to hide a show from the Calendars section and the Watched Progress & Up Next sections, simply add the Most Watched section as an area that a show/movie can be hidden from.

I have been looking at that "Simpsons" backdrop for years now it seems. Time to change it up... Any flexibility is better than what we have now. Maybe even let us choose "a current obsession" or something?

Revisiting this, and still really want it! But I think my earlier comment was confusing, lol. Basically, I think it would be easiest to have the option to exclude a particular show from being counted for this feature. By default, all shows would get counted, but then there would be a box on every show's main page that the user could check/uncheck as desired to exclude that particular show from being counted for this feature.
That way, it's not dependent on the year the show aired, and is controllable by the user.
I also agree this is a problem with Most Watched actors/actresses as well. This could be the same solution - have a box on every person's page to check/uncheck as desired so they are excluded from being counted for Most Watched.

I would like to second some of this and offer my 2 cents. My most watched actor and actress lists are wrecked because of common voice actors. So I'd love to be able to choose people to ignore for these lists. Or, and maybe this is just the real feature we all want, the ability to have "most watched" as a ranked page that you can search sort and filter at will. For media for sure, but specifically for actors and directors it would be amazing. Who is my 11th most watched actor? Is it close?
Thanks so much!

It would also be nice to be able to hide a specific item from showing up in those lists. Myself I seem to have certain Christmas movies showing up because I watch them every year without fail. I would prefer most watched to not include those movies.

I like this idea a lot! But I think the suggestion to choose "current year" or "all time" presents another problem: what if my most watched show that I want to display has ended in an earlier year? Then by choosing "current year" it gets eliminated - but if I choose "all time," we're back to the original problem, and the show I want would still not display. So I think it is problematic to limit the time frame in any regard for Most Watched - you will repeatedly run into the problem of shows being excluded with each passing year. And it would be too cumbersome to provide an array of time choices - current year, last year, last 5 years, last decade, etc. ...
I think a better option would be to have the ability to choose whether a show is included or excluded in the "count" for Most Watched. This could be a check box that by default is checked for all shows and says "Check here to include in Most Watched," and if the user so chooses, they can uncheck the box so the show doesn't get counted. Or it could be the reverse - where the box is by default unchecked, and it says "Check here to exclude from Most Watched".
So yeah, I think that would be a better solution for this idea - which again, I really like!
