Excuse me: in the first date enter October 27 and in the second enter October 28. That should show you the correct plays.

The app loads the 60 most recent plays by default. If you scroll down it fetches older plays. If you click on the calendar icon in the top bar it will show you two date pickers. In the first one enter the earliest date (in your case October 1st) and in the second enter the latest date (in your case October 31), then click "search". It should then show all plays between those dates. Please note that I have only properly tested this app in Google Chrome.

I just tried your tool, but it seems to not work if you go back. I'm trying to remove tons of plays from October 28th, but it fails telling me nothing's there. It only shows me the past like month or so of plays, unfortunately. Overall, I'd love to see this tool implemented on the trakt website, as that would make everything much, much cleaner and simpler.

I had this same issue and wrote a web-app myself to delete duplicate plays. Please note that I'm not the best coder in the world and the app still has a few bugs, but I sucessfully deleted 2000+ duplicates from my history.
Visit www.brendanspijkerman.nl/trakthistorydeleter and log in to remove plays. You can use the calendar icon to search for plays between specific dates (especially handy for sync errors in which half your library is marked as watched in a timespan of 15 minutes :P).
