Ends on a Cliffhanger Warning (No spoilers)
It'd be great to have a "Ends on a Cliffhanger" Warning YES/NO next to the "STATUS" line of TV Shows.
Make it a simple YES/NO Poll so (vip?) users can warn others if a show is cancelled before the story wraps up.
Maybe, if selecting YES request a link to news page that references the premature cancellation. Perhaps link to the comments for that and more info from the reporting user.
Could be expanded from YES/NO to - Major Cliffhanger / Minor Loose Ends / Unanswered Questions / All Wrapped Up

Filmaffinity & Rating Websites
It would be great if you could add Filmaffinity ratings to the movie/tvshow pages. I think is one of the most relaiable cinema rating websites.
It would be very interesting if you could compare the ratings with some website which has more influence from the audience outside US.
Also would be good if someone who is not interested in one website ratting in particular could hide it using a "website rating filter" and see only the ones desired.

TVDB DVD Order seasons support
TVDB supports multiple season ordering now. This seems to be screwing up some series. For example
- Downton Abbey Seasons 2-5
- Archer season 3These two examples added a DVD order season with episodes that were considered specials before now in the regular season. But Trakt didn't maintain the same episode IDs. I had checked in to the specials in my watched history, but these new episodes are not watched. Also, episode images are wrong for some of these, specifically Archer.

Second Genre Filter on the Rating List and Watchlist
I know there's an advanced VIP filter but it would be great if, in addition, we could search on our rating list or watchlist by two genres.
It's not the same looking for a romantic comedy than an action comedy, a drama about sports or a musical drama, etc.

Reject duplicate plays to history
I don't do regular housekeeping of my trakt data and things are prone to get messy due to various bugs in apps and plugins but I'll always end up with duplicate plays at some point. Many of those end up going from check-ins to plays at the same timestamp which shouldn't get accepted as valid by the site at all imho or at least end up getting merged. Despite not not being advertised outside of some support threads and a single kodi forum thread I end up getting a lot of visitors on my duplicate removal script (500+ last year)…

More than one collected format of an item
As of right now you can mark a item as collected with one type of metadata bluray/dvd/digtal ect.
Myself I have multiple editions of a movie like a bluray and a dvd or bluray and digital copy or all of the above.
It would be nice to either be able to mark a movie/tv show/episode as collected more than once.
Like watch history with a view all button and the best quality shown on the main page.
Or be able to select more than one option under format.
I personally prefer the former because it represents what is an entirely…15 votes -
Native Friend discovery
Rather than making Friend discovery dependent on 3rd-party social platforms, please implement native Friend discovery. One solution would be comparing tastes and ratings and film viewings between users and letting users discover & add each other that way, similar to Last.FM's Neighbors feature

Additional options for profile boxes
It's very minor, but I think it might be nice to have more options for the boxes on your profile. I marked my ideas per what the boxes currently are on the profiles.
ABOUT BOX

Random movie from your history. It changes on refresh.

Featured TV show of your own choosing.I think little stuff like this makes it a little bit more personal.

TMDB Episode groups
TMDB went ahead and made episodes groups available in the API. TVDB failed kinda hard with their V2 and has this feature nowhere with an ETA. Would it make sense to implement them anyways based on the corresponding TMDB#? The major issues will most likely be things containing specials but the same already holds true with today's mappings.

Create a Watching Challenge similar to Goodread's Reading Challenge
I could explain this idea, but I think the Goodread's blog post ( https://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/1130-read-more-this-year-with-the-2018-reading-challenge ) does it better than I could. Obviously this is a low priority suggestion and more for fun, but it does have an element of that newfangled gamification thing that was all the hype.

Preview comment before publishing
When trying to do "fancier" tricks with Markdown, it's not always clear if the rendered result will match the desired effect. The thing I miss most when writing comments on Trakt compared to places like GitHub is the ability to preview what I've written, as it will appear after posting, before publishing it.

Estimated Date/Time When I Will Catch Up/Complete This Show At The Rate I Am Watching Episodes
I have this as VIP since this is a little more complex but it would work fine non-VIP as well.
What I was thinking was that when you pull up a show's main page, it will show an estimate of when you will ether catch up or finish watching the show.
Here is an example of the math for it to work.... at least I think it works. But it should give you a general idea of how it may function.
Key:
b = Average time between episode plays for that show.
x = Time since last played episode for…31 votes -
Hide Seasons (or specific episodes) in the Calendar
When you hide a season from your watch next, it still appears on your calendar. If you try and hide it on the calendar, it hides all of the episodes for the show. This would be great for picking up a show partway through a run, or dropping a show if you want to stop watching.

Viewer's Milestones
Hello
I have small idea - special page in profile, where user can observe they milestones for using trakt.tv.
Milestones would be like:
- watched 100 episodes,
- watched 1000 episodes,
- watched 150 movies,

- watched whole [eg. Marvel Cinematic Universe] list,
- spend 100 hours watching shows,
- spend one month watching tv shows,
- started watching [eg. The Big Bang Theory]
- finished series: [eg. Strike Back]
- created first list,
- added 100 items to Watchlist,
- friended 10 users,

Dashboard recommendations
It would be great if the recommendations would be a bit random. When the same ones appear each and every time you log in, they become less "discovery" and more ignored. I saw other ideas on how to select them, which all would be nice, but I think that no matter the method, a bit of randomization / variety to them would be nice.

Follow a List
Would be nice, if there a way to follow a User List or import the list to the watchlist.
Sometimes we see great lists... but always need to return to the list to see non-watched movies, etc...
