2. Improve the recommendation engine

   I really enjoy the service, I am considering paying for VIP access, but one thing that makes me mad in particular is the fact that the recommendations are so random. Based on what's hot in the first place and then maybe by some personal preference.

   For example, in my library I did not have a single comedy show. I just don't enjoy them. In the recommendations I got: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, etc.

   It would be really nice to either name the recommendations 'see what's popular' or change the engine so it would recommend things that are similar to one's taste.

   The recommendations are still processing, but in the mean time it’s been updated to recommend more relevant shows instead of blank or really weird shows. We’ll continue improving it.

3. Easier way to "unwatch" shows, season, and episodes

   It's pretty easy to accidentally click the "seen" icon, but it's not easy to delete that "seen" status. The seen icon should de-activate the "seen" status if clicked when it is active. It should also be easier to mark episodes or seasons as watched. (MyAnimeList does this pretty well.)

   Trakt 2.0 is easier to undo the watched and collected actions. You can just click the button again and it will ask for confirmation to remove it. You can also remove single plays from your history page this way.

5. TV Show watchlist - Season/Episode count

   It is rather easy to find out how big of a commitment watching a movie is on the watchlist with the help of the runtime sort. Doing the same thing for shows only gives you the episode runtime. It would be great to get an extra line for shows, indicating how many seasons and episodes they have or even better calculate this for the runtime sort.

   This will be updated in the next code push early next week. Shows and seasons will use a total runtime of (runtime * aired count).

7. More statistics on your user profile

   We all love statistics! =) So, here´s an ideia :

   -Top seen directors and actors.
   - a percentage view of each year
   - a percentage view of each genre

8. Add friends from facebook, twitter, etc

   Since there's a Facebook App for Trakt.tv, why doesn't it import your friends? I don't see any use for it other than that, yet it doesn't have that function.

   The dashboard displays any facebook or twitter friends who are on Trakt.tv, but you don’t follow yet.

9. Seen date should be “Uncertain”. Different from the added as seen to trakt date.

   There is a lot of movies I know I have watched in the past but I don't know the date. For that I should mark as “Seen” but that adds the movie as “Seen” to the actual date on the movies page, History, Library and Main page. I think that should be improved.
   When you added the option to manually select a date for “previously watched” things, it adds the movie as “seen” to that date. Great. But marking something as “seen” just now, adds the movie as “seen” to today’s date. That’s not good (for that we have “check in”, or “watched previously” at an earlier hour of the day”) .
   Seen date should be separated from the added as seen to trakt date.

   1- Seen date, when clicking on the button “seen” should always be “uncertain” OR “Unsure”.

   2- It should show at the “+ view details”:
   Seen Date: “uncertain” OR “Unsure”. Added to trakt: Actual date.

   3- Put an "uncertain" (as a date) category at the bottom of the "History" page for “Movies” or “TV Series”, not in “All” category so in that you can see the whole activity (date of things added to trakt, not the date of things watched). Or create a new category “Activity” to show the trakt history, not your watched History. They should be different.

   I know the “Seen” category used to assume it was an uncertain thing before, but since it was improved to allow us to mark something as seen in the past at a specific timestamp, the way things are now just messes up the library and your watched history.

   Right now I check things as previously watched and put the date I watched it as my birthday (it's an impossible date, so I know I watched it but I couldn't remember when), It’s not ideal but it’s better than marking things as seen and messing up the History (dates) of movies I watched.

   Also, my History page goes no further than 2008 for some reason, but I think I should create another suggestion/bug for that.

   And finally, I'm sorry for the double post. I tried to create the suggestion from the trakt.tv UserVoice thing, but it didn't give me the option to describe it, so I had too post again.

   This is now possible from any movie or episode page. Click the right icon in the watched button and you can specify the time you watched it.

10. Alternative Views for Calendar

    I would like to view my calendar (TV) by date, program, station or favorites. Right now, if I want to mark something as viewed, I have to figure out what date it was on, and troll through stations to find it. If I want to see what I have left to view and find something I feel like watching, I need to page through the days or look at a noisy month. If I could choose to list it by show, also choosing to put my favorites at the top, it would be nicer.

    "What to watch next" roulette.
    A feature that picks something at random from your watchlist. This would be great as I have A LOT of movies to watch and have trouble deciding which to watch. Sort of like "shuffle" with songs except it's with items in your watchlist.

    Just added a new “random” sorting option when viewing your watchlist or any other list too.

12. Calendar improvements

    I use the calendar function a lot and — from what I can see — functionality is vastly reduced compared to pre-upgrade.

    There’s no way to go back to earlier days (to see if I’ve missed anything), or indeed forward beyond a week. There are no popups to tell me what the icons mean.

    I used to be able to show my shows, all shows, new shows and season premiers. That’s been reduced to my shows and new shows.

    The big new poster icons for each show might look nice, but on a day when there are a lot of programmes on, this is surely going to mean a huge amount of scrolling? I can’t verify this as I can’t move backwards or forwards through the calendar (see above) to check!

    Overall, it looks lovely, but the reduced functionality is a huge backwards step ☹

    Reading other comments, it seems there are many other issues as well. This really should have been beta tested thoroughly before release.

    Lots of calendar options are now available.

13. Make custom lists work in Trakt 2.0.

    Custom lists are in Trakt 2.0 (a bit hidden under Profile->Lists), but, as far as I know, shows cannot be added or removed from custom lists, and custom lists cannot be created or deleted. I realize the website developers probably plan to (re)implement this functionality. Just know that this is a very important feature for many users. And it needs to have an API too.

    You can add, edit, and delete personal lists. You can add/remove items to any personal list from any movie, show, season, or episode summary page using the “Add to List” button.

14. Option to Include Specials in progress list

    Currently specials don't show on a progress list -- only season episodes.

    As I use the progress list as an 'unwatched' queue - I noticed this week with all of the Doctor Who specials that my 'unwatched' queue showed nothing new -- although, of course, I can see them on the monthly calendar.

    It was only after going back many months in the calendar that I realized other shows also had 'specials' that I was not aware of. In order to find all specials - I will need to go through each program one at a time.

    Would it be possible to have an option to include specials in the progress indicator? So it can function as a complete 'unwatched' tracker?

15. Button to show unwatched shows under "Progress"

    "Progress" only shows a show once I've "watched" at least one episode. If I add a bunch of shows from "TV" to my watchlist, it seems that I have to go to each show's page individually to mark them watched.

    A quick way to mark shows watched directly from the watchlist would be nice too.

16. Customizable Dashboard - Trakt2.0

    It would be useful if the dashboard (http://trakt.tv/dashboard) could be customized so users could turn on / off the widgets they find valuable.

    The current dashboard includes an inbox section, upcoming schedule, last month stats, recently watched, and network activity.

    If you don't use the social aspects of this site, inbox and network activity are pretty useless so I'd like to hide / collapse / turn them off.

    I also don't keep up with the upcoming schedule, instead I work from the progress page trying forever to catch up with the shows I'm interested in. If I could swap out upcoming schedule with a small progress display that'd be swell.

    Recently watched is a great filler, but not very actionable to me. I remember what I watched recently, it's often the opposite of what I'm coming to the site to find (which is the show I am most behind on).

    On deck and upcoming schedule have filter/sort settings and can be hidden from your settings. The inbox auto hides if there are no messages.

17. Restart TV Show Progress While Keeping Episode Watch Count

    This problem mainly arose with the most recent 2.0 update to the trakt addon in XBMC, I love the two way syncing system however, when I want to rewatch a tv series I can't make use of the XBMC "watched" feature which is a pain. This happens because if I mark the tv series as unwatched (to start tracking my XBMC progress again) it will automatically mark it as seen upon next load.

    I often watch videos on different systems so the two way syncing is like an angel from heaven, however I think that some sort of system on the website should be created to aid in the rewatching of tv series while still keeping the episode watch count. If the "easy" method of rewatching a tv series is taken (marking all episodes as unwatched on trakt) I feel as if it is hindering the trakt service... With people unwatching tv shows that they have seen, it seems like a backwards step from the goal.

    I wish that I could suggest a viable method of doing so but I can't seem to think of any...

    This feature is now available for all VIP members! When viewing your progress page, click the rewind arrow and choose the date when you started rewatching the show. Your progress page and dashboard up next will update accordingly.

    Syles have been tweaked over the last few weeks. Biggest updates include the smaller user header on sub pages and a more condensed progress page.

19. Refresh on dashboard and progress pages.

    It would be cool if you didn't have to refresh the page after ticking off a episode on the 'on deck to watch' widget and progress page, instead making the episode box refresh. This allows the whole process of checking off shows the be seamless.

    Refresh is now available in the dashboard u next and your progress pages!

    After you mark an episode watched, you’ll get a “Next Episode” link to refresh the show with the next episode to watch.

    If you want this to happen automatically, go to https://trakt.tv/settings#dashboard (for up next) and https://trakt.tv/settings#progress (for progress) and turn on auto refresh.

20. TV-Show Progress Completed Progress: Time based

    Most and least completed episodes filter options based on the actual time remaining as an addition to the #episodes.
