Translate website, movies, and shows to other languages
It would be really nice, if you let people translate the website but that's not so important for me...
but i found that the movie titles are only the english ones, for example the movie "the inbetweeners" is in german "sex on the beach" and so i couldn't find it first because i didn't know that!577 votes -

I think there should badges for such things as watching a series premier on day one, 10,000 episode watch, watching complete series, guilty pleasures, etc.

Compare your movie collection with someone else (friend or just another community member). This would show a list of the movies the other person has that you don't.

Mark multiple episodes watched/collected
I would like to be able to see a list of episodes with checkboxes next to each so that I could quickly mark what I have seen or collected. For example, I might have seen a full season except one special episode and it takes too many steps to mark this.

Community lists (or moderated lists)
Allow for lists to be moderated or have an option for a community list.
Moderated list: Allow an author of a list to add moderators. That would allow for the others to make changes to it. And as a further feature allow someone who isn't a moderator to submit an entry for the list. Examples of this could be a list for season previews, festival entries or genre lists.
Community list: This could be a list where everyone is allowed to submit one recommendation as for something like "community recommendations" or voting on lists; "trakt's favorite movie of 2012" etc.

I have small idea - special page in profile, where user can observe they milestones for using trakt.tv.
Milestones would be like:
- watched 100 episodes,
- watched 1000 episodes,
- watched 150 movies,
- watched 30 comedies,
- watched whole [eg. Marvel Cinematic Universe] list,
- spend 100 hours watching shows,
- spend one month watching tv shows,
- started watching [eg. The Big Bang Theory]
- finished series: [eg. Strike Back]
- created first list,
- added 100 items to Watchlist,
- friended 10 users,

Differentiate a first-time watch from a rewatch on the Recently Watched sections of user profiles.
When taking a glance at the recently watched sections of a user's profile page, it's easy to assume that the user has just watched the movie/show for the first time, even if that user originally watched said movie/show a long time ago. I think that it's very important to distinguish the difference between a first-time watch and a rewatch as they are very different experiences for the user, and that maybe adding a rewatch label/icon or giving the option to hide rewatches from the recently watched sections would be a good idea.

Add the option to skip episodes in your progress tracking
It would be useful to have the possibility to skip a single episode or season. For example, it is useful to make some special episodes you will never watch disappear from the progress view.
This is different than dropping a show because you may want to skip one episode but be sure of being notified of the next one.

More specific privacy controls for sections
Another one to get more open profiles: Let users choose what information they are showing. There have been instances where previously open lists suddenly got private etc. This would still allow users who are not too eager to show things like their collection or maybe watchlist to others to at least have something public (ex. lists).

Tag your collected items
Give us the ability to tag movies, series and episodes in our collection, using tags.
Tags can be marked as private, seen by friends or been public, like it's happening with lists.
Tags can also have their own unique custom color and can be manipulated through Trakt's API.
An example would be to tag some movies for their location in user's library, i.e. in HDD #3 or in BluRay #41. If someone want to do the above example now, using lists, s/he would end up having an enormous number of lists.

Idea: Community Moderators
Hi,
Trakt is growing bigger and bigger, with the new v2 it's obvious that you guys are a little bit shortstaffed.
It isn't easy to manage 800k users and this huge pile of data with 10 people or something like that. hence, there is a need for external voluntary help.
For example, you have GoodReads, it's a huge social network for books, it relays on a 'librarian' system where people can apply to be a 'librarian', a librarian can add books and edit current ones, add posters and stuff like that, then there's superior librarians who have more power and…

News and articles about shows, movies, etc
I wonder if would be good a main page with news related to series or movies, news in general so we can use trakt for something more than just selecting what we see.. to use it like a real and trustworthy entertainment website.
Perhaps with a section dedicated to detect series that you've seen or are in your watchlist, so that you go there knowing that you'll read something of your interest.

Compare watched progress with another user
Compare your watchprogress with another user (like e.g. in steam).
Would be nice to have the possibility to compare the own progress with one (ore more) other users side-by-side.

UK Airdates
Can you in addition to selecting your timezone actually set what country you watch in and then pull the appropriate air dates of episodes in from tv rage/thetvdb.
E.g. I live in the UK so 2 broke girls is 8 episodes behind but i'd like to be able to track it consistently with the UK so i'm not seeing episodes that need watching that haven't even aired yet (at least not locally).
An option to toggle this on or off for different shows (as some won't have relevant air dates - because tvrage/thetvdb hash't been updated or because it doesn't…

Categories for lists
Right now when you're looking for community lists you have to options to choose: Popular and Favorites. Since favorites are mostly good lists (of public interest), many of the other user lists are hardly worth anyone's time or a not supposed to be for the community but for their friends. To ease to process of finding some lists or what you're actually looking for categories would be a big improvement. These could then be chosen when creating a list.Proposed example categories:

Smart lists
I think it would be great if you could implement smart lists similar to the smart playlists in iTunes so you could create dynamic playlists with say actor X and actor Y in category Z. The playlist should automatically update when new content match the filtering.

Follow a List
Would be nice, if there a way to follow a User List or import the list to the watchlist.
Sometimes we see great lists... but always need to return to the list to see non-watched movies, etc...

Show more shout/review statistics about the different Trakt users on the shout/review page
Maybe its an idea to show more statistics on shouts and reviews of Trakt users.
For example the total amount of shouts can be shown a Trakt user has made and the total amount of likes for all the shouts someone has received besides the likes on the currently displayed shout or review.

Reject duplicate plays to history
I don't do regular housekeeping of my trakt data and things are prone to get messy due to various bugs in apps and plugins but I'll always end up with duplicate plays at some point. Many of those end up going from check-ins to plays at the same timestamp which shouldn't get accepted as valid by the site at all imho or at least end up getting merged. Despite not not being advertised outside of some support threads and a single kodi forum thread I end up getting a lot of visitors on my duplicate removal script (500+ last year)…
