Add the option to skip episodes in your progress tracking
It would be useful to have the possibility to skip a single episode or season. For example, it is useful to make some special episodes you will never watch disappear from the progress view.
This is different than dropping a show because you may want to skip one episode but be sure of being notified of the next one.

It would be great to follow or like people (actors), so trakt can notify me about new movies of this person or use this information to recommend movies with actors I like/follow

better, easier, faster list management
- manage lists together -> list with all cool tv shows, mark some for me, my girlfriend, which we want look together
- other users can see what items are new on the list
- read the summary and tag it
- better communication when lists change, notifications for "new item added", "item changed by other user", ...

Tagging friends when checking in
I was thinking about a function where you could (when checking in) to tag someone who's listed as one of your friends. This way would save time when two or more persons that have trakt account watch something together. I say that based on my own experience, when I'm with friends and everyone stops to check in. what would be easier if only one could do that and tagging the other. In collection, but not seen by you or some of your friends
Be able to figure out among friends which movie I have that nobody have seen. (Perfect when you are planing a movie night, and you are able to suggest movies people haven't seen yet)

2,522 votesCurrently, you can hide a show from you calendar or progress page. Hiding from watched progress also hides it from your dashboard on deck. Hiding in those 2 places should work for most users.
This topic proposes a “dropped” status for a show. This would hide from the 3 sections mentioned above + add a “dropped” indicator in places such as the show summary page.

Compare your watchprogress with another user (like e.g. in steam).
Would be nice to have the possibility to compare the own progress with one (ore more) other users side-by-side.

Import checked list from icheckmovies
As a new user who has found in love with this website (you guys rock!) one thing I would love to do would be to merge my checked movies into trakt.
I cant possibly force myself to go after over 1500 movies, so an import option would be ginormous good news for a user like me. Icheckmovies and maybe other sites provide export lists, so in theory it isnt to tricky.

Comments with progress timestamps (in e.g. XBMC)
When you are watching something and you see a specific scene, it could be neat to have the ability to post a comment for that specific time in video.
E.g.

After signup, optimize new user flow to add all the movies I've seen
The first thing I want to do after signing up is to add all the shows and movies I've seen. This isn't really accommodated very well with the current flow. I would expect the option to view all movies in the db (with various sort options - alpha numeric at least). I'd also really expect the option to hide all movies I've seen from all search results (featured, trending, full list, etc.) to help me get it done. So I watch a lot of tv shows in one day it would be cool if u add a tv guide only for the states and canada or any other major country like that I know that if I miss an episode at 10 I could watch it at 12 I know this is a long term project and most probably get declined but it would be cool to have everything under one webdite

Custom Rankings
I kind of find the "totally ninja" and "weak sauce" rankings to be somewhat... confusing. (For instance, when a tweet got sent out that I gave an episode of Breaking Bad 'totally ninja,' it was received with more confusion than anything).
Since we all have different tastes and subjective opinions on how we feel about television and film, I was wondering if there was a way custom rankings could be implemented? Publich collected movies, shows, and episodes to facebook, twitter, etc
When i download a show\tv series\movie and rename them manually (or automatically using renaming software) and add them into my collection, I would like to have the option to enable notifications to twitter (especially) and maybe even facebook.
This would come in handy especially when im using software that automatically downloads, renames and adds the files to xbmc and sends a notification to Trakt. Trakt then sends a notification to twitter & facebook. Hope that makes sense.2 votes -
Notifications for changes in lists
It would be great if we could have notifications when a change is made to "liked" list.

Create lists from a CSV file import
Before trakt, I used to have a list with all the titles I've watched and liked. It's painful to manually sync that list (thousands of entries) with trakt.tv
It would be very useful to have an ability to sync them automatically.
